Damn. Feel like I just got beat in the head with lead pipe languages.

!!!!!

BOULLIE responds:

lol Doom

Like it. The samples/synths come together nicely (shit, I'm just repeating DJD) though they sound a little drowned out. The drum patterns are cool, definitely not the usual fare. The kit could do with an upgrade however. Either that or work on the mastering.
Anyway, keep it up, always looking forward to more music.

ThaKidd responds:

Cool, if i read that right, I think you meant kick. So cool.

Very noice. Very relaxing sounds. synths right? sometimes when you do such a good job it's hard to tell between samples and synths. either way, it sounds good, and got me freestylin. I sorta felt it could branch a bit with some diff instruments to offset the quieter parts, but it's fine the way it is.

Keep makin them beats, and keep gettin A's.

PoyzenJam responds:

Thanks man! Actually they are samples, I just added effects to drag out the sounds and make them sound synth-like a bit more. And yeah, I might add some other sounds too, If i can ever find something that fits nicely.
Glad you enjoyed it

Not bad, however I don't think this is exactly hip hop... your tags say funk, try that.

VitorCinira responds:

Yea you're right, I didnt founded the "funk" option before! It's ok now!

kinda sick man. I like the sample, yes, and I like the bass. I think the kick and snare/clap could be a little more powerful, it'd really slam wiht the drum pattern you got goin on. I know it's only a preview or whatever, but it needs something more, something to fill the background. keep workin, I know you're goin somewhere with all of this, I wanna hear the finished products most of all haha

DJDureagon responds:

nah, not going anywhere.

I like. it's a good beat, the samples sounded good too but were maybe a little sloppy or something, it's a nice sound but some parts don't flow melodically. besides that, I like it a lot, the arrangement just needs sprucing up.

DJDureagon responds:

I think i know what you mean. I'm just not sure i want to make that change. Im not saying its intentional or anything. I'm kind of known (not really) for my sloppy sample work. In this case im having a hard time hearing what you are describing. On a side note. All of my tracks here that are the usual 1 minute in length are like beta beats. They will have more work done to them.

Very smooth. Drums are very natural and nice, and you worked your samples perfectly, nothing seems out of place. This kind of beat is where it's at for freestylin.

DJDureagon responds:

I was going for somehting laid back and sort of just a quite jam

Ditto SJD.
You got a natural path to excellent music what with all the original composition you be doin. Impressively unique and stylish, almost always. Keep it up. I looove weird, unorthodox sounding beats

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Thanks! Next time I'll go weirder.

That was haunting and strange. I like it though. I'm tryin something similar with vocals and a little whistling. Kinda wary of using actual beatbox samples like you do, as I can't master them to sound right, no matter how nice I can beatbox.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

With the beatbox, I normally try to record something where the snare sounds like a click. It's easier to EQ, and it usually sounds better too. Short little clicks are great because they force you to time them right rhythmically, whereas a big crunchy snare might give you too much leeway and it'll just sound off. The vocals, eh, I dunno. The more I listen to them, the more rhythmically off they sound. It still kinda bugs me. Everything else about the beat I like, though. Thanks for listening! I appreciate the feedback.

I like to make music.
