Drums are decent, if a little basic and sloppy in places. I like that wood knock sound.
Sample seems kinda sporadic in its placements, tough to feel a cohesive melody from the chops. I can hear it, but I guess it just needs some smoothing out, blending the elements a bit more finely, buffing and adjusting some of the rough edges on the drum and sample chops/transitions to pull it all a little tighter together. Perhaps some subtle base background instrument for the horns and stuff to play off.
It's decent and interesting, probably needed a little more work.

Yeah, the reason the drum-work is a little sloppy is because I aim to humanuze the drum track by having them drop at slighly off-kilter times.
The same concept applies to the upright bass running throughout.
Also, as a whole I was going for minimalism.
God damn. This shit is super ill. Them drums knoock, samples sound great together, the bass is comin through nicely.

That was unexpected. I'm surprised how it rides the beat pretty well. I know it's slightly slowed down, but did you have to chop anywhere?
Beat is slick dude, well made and fits the tone of my voice I think, or you're just good at bringin the vocals out in the mix, or both. This makes me think some collabs are needed on a few more tracks.
Thanks dude. There is 1 chop after "deep sleep" with just a very slight adjustment. I'm not even sure it was necessary. Its slowed down a bit obviously to fit the tempo of the beat but while the original is super dope on its own i like this cadence a bit better. yeah i think the vocals really fit well i just did some eq to make it sit better but it was pretty much ready to go, you must have a good mic.
