That was haunting and strange. I like it though. I'm tryin something similar with vocals and a little whistling. Kinda wary of using actual beatbox samples like you do, as I can't master them to sound right, no matter how nice I can beatbox.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

With the beatbox, I normally try to record something where the snare sounds like a click. It's easier to EQ, and it usually sounds better too. Short little clicks are great because they force you to time them right rhythmically, whereas a big crunchy snare might give you too much leeway and it'll just sound off. The vocals, eh, I dunno. The more I listen to them, the more rhythmically off they sound. It still kinda bugs me. Everything else about the beat I like, though. Thanks for listening! I appreciate the feedback.

:D This is absolutely delightful haha I love it! could I sample this?

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Sure thing, man. I didn't imagine this track as a hip hop beat, but if you can make it work, more power to you. Thanks for the review!

This is crazy. cool sample(if it is) and I guess the beatboxing works but I'd like to hear the sample with more complex beat structure and stuff ya know? but it really is a magical sample.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

It's not a sample, it's actually a sound file of my voice used like a piano. I programmed all the notes and stuff, and then I GSnapped it later so it went in pitch. I'm not too happy with the way the beatbox sounds right now, though - I might tweak it or replace it with a better beatbox in the future. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

I can imagine a chill ass funky bassline that flirts with the melodies(the speakers I'm hearing it through right now have NO bass), and drums to match it; a soft but strong kick (hope you know what I mean by soft) complimenting the bass notes. maybe a shorter, lighter snare and the hi hats kept minimal but maybe coming in stronger later on alongside a more impactful snare/clap and that voice.

hope this made sense, and whatever you decide on I'm lookin forward to the finished piece.

Damn son, this is hot as hell! I like the different melodies and structure you played with, and it kind of made me wish the drums did some changing along with em, but I can't knock it cause the beat is great and flows. Keep this kind of shit up my dude!

Kinda sweet. I love violin in a beat. very nice samples. However the drums could use some work to sound more natural. needs a catchy bassline too. But yea the samples get pretty intense. You gotta be shoutin to spit to this.
also you meant for it to be a loop but there's a bit on the end so it doesn't loop smooth.
keep makin music!

Zodiax responds:

Yeah, drums have never been my strong point, so...I tend not to mess to much with them because I tend to make them worse.

The loop thing is just Fl being dumb and not cutting it, but oh well, maybe I'll fix it sometime.

Thanks for checking it out man!

Ooohhh shit SJD bro. I mean both were hot, and I usually don't like dissing shit, but SJD.

I love that custom sound to the drum pattern. The sample was kinda heartbreaking, but got repetitive, but then that extra synth comes in and all is good again. Overall solid, and rappable.

DJDureagon responds:

It was too so I Long changed.

UUUUUUhhghghg. My heart came. I love those sounds dude. So eerie but beautiful, which reminds me a lot of Freddyfinger. Keep this shit up man, get this finished.

I like to make music.
