Oooweee nice groove! At the beginning I was like okay this has the potential to be ill. Waiting to see where the snare would hit and all that. It came through perfectly. Great beat man, you're getting really good.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Been waitin' on you to review this B!

Thanks for the praise!

Haha Dr Steve Brule!

Nice calm track, nothing amazing but nice to listen to.

Very cool! Nice sounds!

Sounding good! Nice and clean. Those little violin hits seem kinda arbitrary and don't meld as well as the rest of the sounds. Otherwise well produced and solid.

I like the beat a lot in the middle of the track. The thwooming bass/kicks really make for a sick beat. The sampling is a little hectic and all over, but yeah I dig that beat.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Yeah, instead of sidechaining the kick and bass, or eq'ing around them, I just have them both go at the same time, so they're competing pretty hard. I normally don't do that, so I'm glad it sounded good to you. And yeah, the ending got pretty nuts. I put all those sounds on one track, so they all got mixed the same way. I had so many plugins that my CPU usage was killing me, so I moved the audio buffer from 90 ms to 180 ms and everything was so choppy. I guess that was why I was in a rush to finish it, haha. So I could set it back to 90.

Thanks for the review, man! (I think it's my 300th, actually)

This is pretty cool. Could use a good MC!

Why did I not review? This is solidly good. Well mastered and manageable for a good flow. I'll try to write to it.

BOULLIE responds:

Please deeewww

I like the instruments, the piano and ominous strings. Definitely got a nice moody feel. The drum pattern however seemed a little lacking or kinda not freaked enough if you know what I mean. Good samples though.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Yeah, this is an old track. I made it back in 2013. I might change up the drums later.

Thanks for the review.

Niice. Great sound. I really like the way your drums hit on this one. Really wish you would have looped that piano sample some more and built some more on top of it. As short as it is, I think it has a lot of potential to be further developed and layered. It really starts grooving at :33, but that doesn't last nearly long enough. You have some blank space that could do with some atmosphere, especially where all you hear is drums and those short vocal chops/synths, perhaps some low pass stuff, even if you put a low pass on your piano loop, that would probably do the trick. Great drums and samples, so it's a good track, but needs to be longer and more fleshed out. Keep up the solid stuff though, peace.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

I see what you mean. I wasn't sure if the :33 part was too dense or not, so I didn't add to it, but listening to it now, it could use some more low-end, some more melody shit, etc. I was iffy because I wasn't sure if the piano sample was working. Like, it sounded cool, but I wasn't sure if it was jiving with the drums and everything else. Either way, I got a new sound bank going, and my next beat is probably gonna be similar but different to this, so I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback, dude, I appreciate it!

Pretty damn sweet. Keep it up.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Thanks bruv!

I like to make music.
